Gender Equality at WSP Australia

WSP acknowledges that women are under-represented in the industry.

We are constantly addressing the changes needed to ensure women and men are recognized and rewarded equally.

WSP’s commitment to embracing a diverse and inclusive culture has led to a consecutive citation by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) recognizing WSP as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE). WSP has successfully met the high standards, rigorous assessment process and criteria across seven focus areas, including gender remuneration gaps and flexible working.

WSP Australia is one of 119 organizations that has met WGEA’s high standards, rigorous assessment process and criteria addressing gender pay parity, working hours and family initiatives

Gender equality is an integral part of the WSP diverse and inclusive culture, and it plays a key role in our ongoing global and local strategic plans. Key achievements in this area are:

  • Achieving a goal of 30 per cent female representation at the leadership level,
  • Delivered pay parity,
  • Embedding firm-wide flexible work practices,

Tailoring parental leave policies supporting both women and men

WSP globally is a Signatory to the UN Global Compact, providing access to tools, resources, and networks to advance sustainability, including gender balance. Our Diversity Council charter focuses on:

  • Attracting and retaining the best female talent
  • Providing development opportunities to allow women to achieve their full potential
