I do a lot of analytical work to determine how risky client's accounting systems, a fair amount of vouching invoices and supporting documentation to test those theories, and a spend a lot of my time at client sites talking to CFOs and accountants about their businesses to understand the things I am testing and get to the bottom of errors, variances and unusual entries.

On a daily basis I am involved in conducting testing and field work, along with background research on clients.

Participating in audit engagements from planning to concluding assisting associates & graduates on the job and with on the job learning consulting and discussions with clients and managers as required

Performing testing on the client's YE numbers, correspondence with the client and other entities.

I partake in managing day to day operations of clients accounting software and do yearly or quarterly reporting which is required for the entities.

I work in audit, my role is to audit financial statement balances to ensure compliance with accounting standards is maintained and that those balances can be reasonably relied upon by decision makers.

I enjoy the general audit work, however do not enjoy the planning work as much.

I have worked on a broad variety of projects for clients in a number of different industries which has taught me a lot and kept things interesting.

Can get repetitive at times, preparing tax returns and financial statements.

As an associate I have been assisting with project management and a few parts of the deliverables for the project. Day-to-day this might be updating some data visualisations in the report, analysing data and preparing weekly status reports.

My day to day responsibilities vary considerably. These include report writing, correspondence with various parties, financial analysis, the billing and collection of the firm's fees.

My role as a grad includes assisting the engagement team with low risk sections of the audit and preparing planning documentation, attending stocktakes and undertaking essential training amongst other things.

Assisting Seniors and Managers with Audit documentation and performing stocktakes

My responsibilities range from setting up pre-audit and concluding documents, testing expenses/revenues or various other workpapers

My work day may consist of setting up new client engagements, checking databases, putting together proposals and standard documents and tax technical analysis (specific areas of the legislation that apply to clients and how these interact with other areas of the tax law) as well as other industry-specific analysis. Also some wider business development activities and involvement in strategy and planning.

Auditing financials of mid-large size companies and government organisations.

My role has been appropriately tailored to my technical skill level, whilst still providing me with opportunities for growth

At the moment, I am finding my feet and gaining an understanding of how the projects and team work with clients. Sometimes it is a little quiet work wise, but I am looking forward to becoming a bit busier.
