Disability Support at Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)

We have an employee led Disability and Carers Network which brings together staff based on shared identify and experience. The network supports staff to:

• share experiences and ideas,
• build connections,
• raise awareness,
• provide advice to our senior leadership and other staff; and,
• implement practical initiatives to ensure our work environment remains accessible and free from barriers.

We know everyone’s circumstances are different. The department adopts an ‘if not why not’ approach to flexible working arrangements where managers and staff work together to develop flexible work plans that balance individual and organisational needs.
