A Day in the Life at Bentleys

My name is Jamie Sim and I will be graduating from Monash University in June 2024 with a Commerce degree majoring in Accounting and Finance. I started with MCDB Melbourne as an audit intern in November of 2023 and was eventually offered to join the team as a graduate auditor. Below is my normal day in a life working in the audit team with MCDB.

My name is Liya Lu, I joined MCDB Melbourne in August 2023 right after I graduated from the University of Melbourne in July 2023. I studied Accounting and Finance and started my career here as a graduate accountant. Now I would love to share a normal day of my work with you.

I provide an outline of the Jobs I intend to prioritize that day to my supervisor and manager, this gives me an opportunity to provide any updates on the current tasks, be briefed on any new client engagements or receive any new information that has come in relating to my current workflow.

Being a part of a business services team, I have the opportunity to work on a wide range of accounting tasks. Typically, this includes preparing client work papers and job set up for senior accountants, tax returns, and compiling client information.
