In times of crisis, art has the power to unify people, provide respite, and help communities heal. This important role could be better demonstrated.

I get up in the morning hoping to make a difference. For me, working in the public sector is a great way to do this as I provide advice to government on important economic and policy issues.

The most rewarding part of my job is watching the staff I work with and mentor grow into strong professionals, getting their CA qualification, learning how to work with clients, learning how to become advisors and strong auditors.

Rick Troiano is a Partner in the Corporate Markets team.

Rob Gough is a Senior Associate in our Corporate Markets team. He joined the Firm as a Graduate 2014. In addition to Melbourne, he has also worked in our London and Sydney offices.

The key soft skills I would stress are listening to understand and not to judge, working well with others and curiosity. It is always beneficial to have some work experience and as such internships are a valuable opportunity.

Rowena Baer is an Associate in our IPTech team. She joined the Firm as a Graduate in 2017. She has also worked in our London office as an International Clerk, in 2017.

I am interested in social policy and in particular, education policy. I’m passionate about making sure that all Australian students receive a high-quality education – regardless of their background.
