  • My manager and senior are extremely supportive and caring about career development. The working environment is very friendly and collaborative.
  • The professional development and support you receive from the team. The opportunity to progress your career and the appreciation from the team around hard work and dedication.
  • The flexible working arrangements of being able to work from home some days a week and also enjoy working with everybody there.
  • The opportunity for growth! You can grow within your role as well as have the opportunity to explore other roles within the business. You gain a lot of experience and get to collaborate with different departments.
  • If you’re having a bad day your sales reflect that and its easy to spiral into negativity

  • Having to travel in order to get into work.
  • Sales can be stressful

Promotion possibilities are endless. If you work hard, prove your contributions to the business, do your best and work effectively with the team, you will be rewarded. Hard work goes a long way but so does doing your absolute best at all times. If you demonstrate that you are trying to improve, if you take on feedback and apply it, if you work alongside your colleagues and demonstrate innovative ideas and thoughts to improve, you'll be promoted.

Corporate Social Responsibility
There is a lot more work to be done here. This is a relatively new concept for IQPC Australia. Unfortunately, due to being quite an agile environment, it isn't prioritised as much as, perhaps, it should be. Other work-related things are prioritised more often; however, I think there is a lot of room and appetite from the team to work on our CSR. There is definitely an appetite amongst the team to do more work, I think we just need someone to champion this more.

Culture
IQPC Australia's company culture is growing. We've seen a big shift towards encourage active social participation from colleagues, in and out of the office. After COVID, we felt it was important to get us all socialising again, and our new head of social committee will do a great job to organise social gatherings and get the teams working together. There is not too much of a social hierarchy in the office, like most companies there are small groups of people who have similar interests, but overall, everyone gets along very well and we all enjoy working with one another.

In my role, I have a well-structured day. I have a plan of action set out for the day. My role involves prospecting, outbound phone calls, meetings, researching, collaborating with other teams, sharing ideas and expanding my network. I get exposed to different events and topics that are hot in the market. I am in control and in charge of how successful my day can be.

Management
Yes, management is extremely accessible and is always keen to learn about your aspirations and goals. They have always been very invested in my career and time and they always want to see you succeed. Performance feedback is always given and they are very involved in your projects at all times. They offer great feedback and advice which is always helpful, not just critical. Praise and recognition are always given through office-wide emails which go out all the time. They love to applaud great work.

We are in North Sydney and we have a beautiful office! It is brand new and spacious. It's an agile working environment and you can sit anywhere you want. You've got desks, lounges, boardrooms, dining area, kitchen and a massive balcony to get fresh air. The area is great for coffee and food! The dress code is formal or smart casual.

Recruitment
Personally, for me, it was a great process because it was a very quick and straightforward one. I got a call from the HR, and then asked a few basic questions, and then she immediately scheduled a Zoom interview with my (currently) managers. After the first interview, I got an email saying I passed the first round and they scheduled a second interview with me. I think I got accepted one or two days after the second interview. The whole process took less than 1.5 weeks for me.

I don't know the answer to this. But I think they are doing pretty well with providing paper bowls/plates and forks instead of plastic ones.
