I am responsible for my own experiment in the greenhouse so I am required to keep on track with hand watering and taking soil solution samples as well as plant measures. When not in the greenhouse I am writing up observations and conducting research which includes reading scientific documents and taking notes that may be relevant to my report

My supervisor has given me full control over how I approach the project

Each day I am able to work through the tasks outlined by my supervisors at my own pace. This is different everyday; some days spending the day self teaching a new software, other days analysing data with excel and sometimes spending the day in meetings.

Every day I come to work and perform random tests on a residential battery. I edit the code to add necessary data analysis tools, such as CO sensor systems or temperature warning signs.

At the moment, I feel as though my work is a bit unfocused, but this is not really reflective on the institution, just that my project is very vague and broad. However, I am quite satisfied with the topics, and I am enjoying the kind of working that I am doing.

I am leading my own short-term project investigating agricultural fungi and potential evolutionary trade-offs that we could exploit in our crop management practices. I conduct background research, design and refine my experimental procedure, run multiple experiments concurrently in the laboratories and out in the greenhouses, record my results and will write the final scientific report of my outcomes. Every day is something different, but all working towards this significant goal.

I work a summer student, supporting mineral identification. Its a balance of theory and research, hands on and practical lab work.

I work on a research project and spend the day at my desk coding, analysing data, reading and meeting with others in my field.

I'm currently working on an IT project. Everyday, I build small software components bit-by-bit. When combined together, they form an interesting working software.

I have to work in the laboratory and on my computer. Using data from experiments and building MATLAB coding software

I have to do all activities related to a research project and confer with my supervisors about my findings.

I am basically in charge of a little project, I have to do prototyping, involving hands on work and simulations. I do data analysis and test samples.

Most work is self-managed, with occasional check-ins from supervisor. Expected to be able to plan project, including timelines, tasks to be completed, sourcing equipment, troubleshooting, etc. If anything goes wrong or hit a roadblock, can rely on other members of the team to help out to resolve the issue

I get to work on a project, mostly self-guided with a supervisor for oversight and to make sure I'm progressing well.
