Corporate Social Responsibility at CSIRO

The organisation is a national science organisation. Fundamentally, they engage in improving the wellbeing of the community via the technologies and innovations that are produced.

I'm not sure - this hasn't been applicable in my situation.

Allot of the work that is done here sets the example for, and generates the means for social responsibility. The only downfall is the organisation's work with coal and fossil fuels (which the company is moving away from).

As a research company, ethics are a huge thing in what we do. I working on a IT project which involves FHIR data. I use synthetically generated data in the project instead of real data.

CSIRO constantly has projects to help people better understand the world and publish a lot of research publicly to contribute to advancements in science. The goal of this company is to provide as much good through science to the public. They are bankrolled by the government which makes this vision easier.

CSIRO as a government organisation has a strong emphasis on the public good, with many works aimed at reducing climate impact and improving people's lives. Much of my work has been on trying to improve energy efficiency/reduce environmental impact, particularly in the mining and metal refining industries

I don't know what CSR is but I am assume they are pretty good at addressing it

I have not worked on any personally and I'm not aware of any. I answer 5 because I don't know of any.

All research projects aim to have a positive impact on the world. We also have ethics review processes for research that impacts humans or uses private data.

I have not been at the company long enough to comment.

CSIRO often runs research aimed at benefiting humanity as much as possible so have great corporate social responsibility.

I'm honestly not sure and it is something I will investigate.

There are a large number of projects going on at any one time. We regularly host community events here in the auditorium and social space.
