The great thing about this job is that you work with people from all backgrounds. It is rare to find someone who has the same experiences as you – whether that be where you grew up, what degree you studied at university or how you ended up in this job. We all bring a unique perspective!

The thing I love most about my job is the people that I work with. I have been lucky to learn from senior lawyers who are experts in their field and who have accelerated my development as a banking and finance lawyer.

The coolest things about my job are the international network and opportunities that come from working at a global law firm, as well as the interesting projects I get to work on.

While the partner is ultimately responsible for the transaction, the senior associate is the lawyer running the transaction from start to finish.

A legal background is not a prerequisite for a policy role. A propensity for analysis and an ability to be thorough and harness productive working relationships is key.
