Beth Kynaston – Graduate Graduate in Plant Biosecurity Studied at the Deakin University and the University of Newcastle, completed a Bachelor of Zoology and Animal Science and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Sustainability in 2019.

The ability to communicate technical concepts and details with people who may not have the same background or knowledge of the things that I consider important is by far the most important skill I have in my current role.

Brian Tracey – Indigenous Graduate in Marine Parks, Parks Australia Studied at James Cook University, completed a Master of Science in Marine Biology & Ecology in 2018. Studies at the University of Western Sydney completed a Bachelor of Zoology and Conservation Biology.

When all the pieces click and fall into place, and you’re left with this pretty image that tells a meaningful story. The satisfaction you get after fighting with code all day and then it works is hard to beat.

In my section, we work on setting how we will manage the biosecurity risk of travellers arriving in Australia in the future.

We are responsible for protecting Victoria’s natural assets and its public lands to ensure sustained benefits for future generations.

As a Systems Engineer, I sit above all the technical aspects of a project and instead focus on how to design, integrate, and manage complex systems over their lifecycles.

My work can affect people in a very real way – working on a coronial inquest means I can help to give a family answers about their loved one’s death.
