Don’t be afraid to go for roles you wouldn’t typically go for – you won’t know if you enjoy something until you try it, and where you end up can be very different than what you originally planned.

I get great joy in being able to assist a person on their journey to healing and support them in their most vulnerable time. I have been working as a new graduate for the last 5 months in West Ward at Westmead Private Hospital.

By far the best part of my job is being able to help people become parents, whether it be their first, second or fifth birth – each time is magical.

Providing secretariat support for this division was a really exciting piece of work to be involved in and a fantastic introduction to policy work.
