Promotion opportunities with the business exist, however, there are people within the business who have been here a long time and may be better suited for the roles available.

We are always doing events such as bake sales, raffles and lunchtime markets to raise money for many different charities. We get a paid day of leave to volunteer once a year. Events such as tree planting and school education programs are available for staff to volunteer for. These efforts (as well as personal ones from staff) are shared on our communication platforms for anyone to join.

Culture
The culture is amazing here. Everybody is very supportive and ready to help. Outside of work we often meet up for endorsed events- e.g. corporate games, monthly mingles, Toastmasters, and personal groups- e.g. trivia nights, footy tipping, photography sessions, a weekly running club and so much more.

Diversity
Very open to diversity, from LGBTQ to indigenous, to making the business as inclusive as it can be. The business looks after it's employees through things like maternity leave etc and do everything to accommodate where possible.

Day to day responsibilities change due to the nature of my work, but generally a meeting or two along with implementing incremental steps to help the business improve without disrupting day to day activities.

Management
Managers are accessible but busy. However, the mentoring program pairs a graduate with another employee in the organisation to set goals, deal with challenges that may arise in the first year of employment, and expand networks.

We have many locations across South East Queensland and all the ones I have been to are great-even at the sewerage treatment plants and pump stations. The dress code is pretty standard and everybody who isn't in PEP gets casual Friday and fun dress-up days for Christmas, Easter, football games etc.

Interview, assessment centre was a conventional process. Not confronting and relatively comforting. Online assessment was probably one of the more difficult assessments relative to other companies.

Formal training process eases you into the business a little bit. The skills picked up are uncountable, so just be open to learning and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Work Hours
My hours are very flexible. I can work anytime between 6 am-6 pm as long as I do 38 hours a week. I also have flex time so I can build up hours when the team is busy and take leave in slow weeks.

Sustainability
Its well known that we should be environmentally friendly in our work but also in our day to day lives. We have several recycling bins for different wastes and they're located on every floor. We have reusable or biodegradable cutlery, cups, mugs, plates etc available. There's often signage in the bathrooms and kitchens. There have been a few times we have done free barista coffee if you bring a keep cup to encourage good habits.
