Mandatory training is industry standard, although, it can be easy to forget a lot of the training, especially if it doesn't have a lot of relevance to your role such as the compliance training. For instances where you need to follow processes such as for compliance, it can be a bit difficult to find the resources to follow that process correctly without resorting to the training.

The grad program at TAL provides formal leadership / soft skills training sessions, which have greatly helped. Topics have included, persuasion techqniues, communication, presentation skills, innovation, mentoring & coaching and more.

Company provides training platforms such as Udemy. Multiple learning opportunities in teams by shadowing members and getting to know how systems work etc.

While not particularly relevant to me, TAL supports further education for Chartered Accounting and the Australian Institute of Actuaries.

There are some modules we have to pickup and finish in our first week. These are as enjoyable as any training modules can be. There are development days from an external provider which are a whole lot of fun.

we have training days every 3 months or so. Last one was on the art of persuasion, of which I learn about influencing decisions while you are not there.

I think onboarding training could be slightly improved. However there are a plethora of resources which are available for self guided training. An example of this is the Microsoft Azure fundamentals certification which I achieved, however this was at my own pace and only suggested by my colleagues

Ongoing training and development program focuses on soft skills. Induction was more content heavy.
