This is an opportunity to join Rural Bank, the agri specialist arm of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank group. Setting the standard for banking and giving financial power back to our communities, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank was recently ranked in the top three most trusted brands in Australia. So come and work for a Bank you can be proud of.

Why choose Rural Bank for your Graduate Program experience?

We are committed to seeing our people thrive and development is in our DNA. During the Graduate Program you will have opportunities to interact with our Executive team, industry partners and our customers. Each experience is designed to allow you to learn and develop to become the best version of you.

We provide a personalised Graduate Program, tailored to suit you and your goals, whilst ensuring you enjoy a rounded experience across all areas of our bank. That means you could be working across areas such as Finance, Marketing, People and Culture, Credit and Lending, Agribusiness Sales and more.

In addition, there are opportunities to travel across Australia working with teams from the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland to Esperance in Western Australia.

      Our Graduate Program proposition

Successful graduates will join our rural business in either Bendigo, Melbourne, Adelaide, Wagga Wagga, Brisbane or Perth and participate in multiple rotations through the business. Rotations could involve travel throughout Australia. Whilst landing role availability may differ from state to state due to head office locations, we have a large agribusiness sales force throughout Australia which provides our graduates exciting landing role options for working directly with customers at the end of the 18 month program.

If you are looking for a program where you can be yourself and be exposed to exciting and challenging experiences, then this is the program for you. Your skills will be developed and refined through both on the job coaching and mentoring as well as in class room style learning environments.

The sky's the limit: we will actively help you reach your potential through career pathways, skill development and providing you with unique project opportunities. You will form part of an established and constantly evolving program with a supportive graduate community.

Graduates can also look forward to:

      • An established and constantly evolving program with a supportive graduate community.
      • A permanent role post-program within Rural Bank.
      • Real work. To land a position within our business, you will undergo an exceptionally rigorous selection process. We do this to ensure you will succeed and will reach your potential. Since applying this methodology, we have maintained a 78 per cent retention rate.
      • Supportive rotation leaders who genuinely care about your development.

      You will also receive:

      • A competitive starting salary plus superannuation, with advancement upon successful completion of the graduate program.
      • Relocation assistance if required to relocate throughout your program.
      • Staff benefits including discounted banking products and services, retail discounts, external study assistance, home loan allowance, insurance & super benefits and more.

      What are we looking for?

We are looking for talented and motivated graduates who have completed their degree within the last three years and share our ambition to support and enable farmers to build vibrant businesses across Australia.

If you are energised by community engagement in all its forms and a self-starter who is motivated by challenges and new experiences, we might be the place for you. You will be committed to your own personal development and want to work in an environment where change is a constant. You won't find two days the same. A genuine connection to the agricultural industry and its people is intrinsic to your success.

One of the best parts of the job is not always being stuck in the office every day and going out to visit clients on-farm. It’s a great way to see the country, especially in such a beautiful part of Australia like the Southern Grampians.

I really love the parts of my job where I can interact with customers through talking about their farms and businesses, as I love hearing other people’s ideas and getting to know what does and doesn’t work in the farming and business side of things.
