Your role

The Graduate Analyst is responsible for becoming familiar with the operational functions of a range of departments across RBNZ and contributing to programmes of work. During assigned rotations you will:

  • Undertake analysis and make recommendations, and where relevant to your role, lead analytical pieces of work within the department.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives within each rotation, collaborating with team members to achieve objectives and deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Formulate and draft advice on policy, regulation, legislation or interventions relevant to your department’s initiatives.
  • Conduct research that delivers insights on a broad range of relevant issues.
  • Communicate insights and, where relevant to your role, present analysis and advice to experts and decision-makers at the Bank.
  • Represent the Bank and its views to stakeholders in a professional manner.

About you

Ko koe tēnei? | Is this you?

  • By early 2025 you’ll have your tertiary study wrapping up and are ready to apply your economics, commerce, finance, law, mathematics, statistics, accounting or other relevant study into real mahi.
  • You graduated within the past 2 years obtaining your highest qualification by February 2025.
  • You attained a B+ or higher grade average from the previous 12 months of study.
  • You’ll be available to work full-time from early 2025 in Pōneke | Wellington or Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland.
  • You’ll be an NZ citizen, NZ permanent resident or holder of a valid work visa allowing full-time employment.
