Noreen Tenorio

My current rotation is with the Stakeholder Engagement Team. I support the Engagement Partners mainly with client notifications.

6.00 AM

My alarm was strategically set early, although I inevitably hit snoose one too many times. It's a struggle to leave the warmth of my bed, especially since it feels like we've skipped autumn and headed straight into winter. Eventually, I muster the strength to get up and push through a quick Pilates workout.

6.45 AM

I begin preparing for a day at the office. I have breakfast, pack my lunch, and gather some snacks before heading to the train.

8.45 AM

After a short ride on the train, I arrive at the office. I spend the first part of my morning catching up on emails. Currently, I'm assigned to the Stakeholder Engagement Team, where I primarily assist the Engagement Partners with client notifications. My role involves notifying our agency partners about any scheduled ICT changes that may impact their services. Today, I note a change notification that I need to send out.

09.30 AM

I join the Teams meeting, which happens to be the first meeting of the day. This meeting focuses on the Data Centre Relocation Project (DCRP). Present in the meeting are the Project Manager, Change Analyst, and myself, along with one of the Engagement Managers for our monthly catch-up. The Engagement Manager provides updates on their clients' relocation progress, and we discuss the necessary actions to be taken. As part of my contribution to the project, I am involved in developing a high-level exit timeline. Therefore, I update the timeline with the relevant milestones discussed during the meeting.

10.00 AM

I take a break and head to the kitchen to grab a morning tea snack. Since my supervisor is in the office today, we utilise this time to catch up. Our little table in the corner offers a great view as we engage in conversation.

10.20 AM

I return to work and begin preparing the change notification that I flagged earlier this morning. I customise the change notice for each client that will be impacted before sending them out.

11.00 AM

I grab my headphones and join the Teams meeting for the weekly Stakeholder Engagement catch-up. During this meeting, our director provides updates from the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and summarises the recent happenings across the organisation in the past week.

11.30 AM

Time for the next meeting. Although I'm currently on rotation with another team, Strategic Organisational Change remains my home team, so I like to attend their weekly catch-ups whenever I have the time and capacity. During the meeting, we discuss our current workload, track our progress with tasks, and conduct a general check-in on our wellbeing.

12.30 PM

It's time for lunch! I head to the booths with some of my team members. Most days, I try to pack my lunch from home, but there are plenty of food options available nearby. My personal favorites are GYG or Vegerama, which are conveniently located just across the road.

01.00 PM

Back to work. I edit some discovery documents in preparation for a meeting. Later in the afternoon, I have a "check-in" with the Client Portal Project team. The project aims to explore a potential redesign of how clients can access data and information regarding the ICT services we provide them. I am collaborating with a Business Analyst and a Principal Engagement Partner on the discovery phase. We have been conducting workshops with different internal teams to document and understand the current state of our information channels.

02.00 PM

Time for more emails. I receive notice of a change that has been postponed, so I notify the relevant clients.

02.30 PM

I join the Client Portal Project meeting on Teams. We review the discovery documents and discuss any outstanding actions. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) has requested an update on our progress, so we plan our remaining project timeline.

03.00 PM

Straight into the next meeting. I listen in on the discussions about client communications for the Data Centre Relocation Project.

03.30 PM

It's time for the last meeting of the day! I head to a meeting room for my weekly 1:1 session with my supervisor. We go through my Achievement Development Plan (ADP) and discuss my career goals. We explore the professional development opportunities that CITEC can facilitate to support me during my time in the graduate program.

04.45 PM

Back at my desk, I check my emails for any urgent actions or change notifications. I make note of any tasks for tomorrow morning before I start to pack up. My desk tends to be a mess by the end of the day, so I tidy up a bit to ensure no sensitive information is visible. Then, it's time for a short walk to Central to join the peak hour crowd.

05.30 PM

I hop off the train and am greeted by a beautiful sunset. The sun is starting to set much earlier now that we're heading into the colder months. Once I'm home, it's time for dinner and unwinding.

7.00 PM

I log onto Netflix for an online watch party with some friends. We watch the last episode of the series we've been bingeing together for the past week.

9.30 PM

I do my usual nighttime routine and head to bed. I double-check that my alarm is set, but then end up spending too long on my phone. Before I know it, it's past my bedtime. Time to put the phone away!
