About Us

Using your skills in accounting, finance, law or broader commerce, as a part of our Corporate & Global Tax team, you’ll assist large, multinational and publicly listed clients from a variety of industries with managing their Australian and international tax affairs.

In the Corporate Tax team, you’ll be part of our clients’ core tax advisory team of passionate and innovative people. Our clients trust us to help them navigate the ever-changing world of tax, providing them with advice on complex Australian income and indirect taxes, as well as foreign tax matters, assisting them through deals and transactions, and meeting their compliance obligations.

In the Global tax team, you’ll navigate the ever-changing global business world in international tax, international trade services and transfer pricing arrangements. You’ll be a part of a team that assists our clients in ensuring their organisation meets their tax objectives, efficiently manages their international trade and financial position, and carefully assesses any risks. For our clients establishing operations in Australia or overseas, you’ll help with their cross-border tax and transfer pricing arrangements, global trade compliance requirements and opportunities to create more effective global supply chains.

Each day is different as we advise our clients on a range of issues, whether that’s managing and executing market transactions, building and implementing structures for their commercial arrangements, working through engagements with the Australian Taxation Office, or helping them meet their annual tax compliance obligations and other reporting requirements. You’ll also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally within the broader Tax team and/or with our Legal, Deals and Accounting Advisory teams.

What is the Trainee Program?

As a Trainee, you'll embark on a two-year journey of combined work and study with PwC. You'll join us four (4) days a week (on a full-time salary!) while you study part-time for two (2) years. You'll then take a break from full-time work to complete your degree!

Balance is important. That's why you'll receive one (1) day of paid study while you work four days a week! This means you’ll receive a full-time salary while you study! As a trainee, you’ll combine your university studies with work experience to build the perfect foundation for your career, all while receiving professional and financial support in a full-time paid role.

About the Opportunity:

In the Corporate & Global Tax team, you’ll find yourself in a culture that values wellbeing and working together. Alongside your peers, you’ll solve problems like cross border tax requirements or global trade compliance. You'll use your skills in accounting, critical thinking, and tax to make an impact across various industries. And along the way, you’ll build relationships and skills to set you up for a lifetime of success.

What will a normal day look like? Well, you can count on that every day you will:

  • Support our clients with managing their Australian and international tax affairs

I get to learn new things every day, which means my job is never boring. It’s also a very hands-on role, where I get to work directly with clients, grow my skills and see the impact of what I do.

I think the thrill of settling transactions and creating major commercial outcomes for clients is what keeps corporate lawyers going – it’s certainly one aspect that I find exhilarating.
