By joining the Macquarie Graduate Program you’ll become an integral member of the team. You’ll develop your skills and build your career while sitting side-by-side with our business leaders and have the opportunity to work on projects from day one.

We’re looking for students who bring something different; who can push boundaries, challenge processes and examine a problem from all angles. We also look for students who can demonstrate strong academic performance and involvement in extra-curricular and community activities.

We encourage students from a wide range of degree backgrounds who are completing their studies in 2020 to apply.

About our Graduate Program

Your career development starts with a tailored orientation and business group specific workshops. You’ll then embark on a structured 12 to 24-month program with on-the-job training, access to a comprehensive range of external and internal courses and the opportunity to build your business network.

We have opportunities for our 2021 Graduate Program in Corporate Operations and Strategy (Sydney).

Joining in a corporate operation or strategy role, you’ll help to power our entrepreneurial enterprise. Our corporate operations and strategy teams cover a wide variety of opportunities.

Business Improvement and Strategy

As part of our Business Improvement and Strategy team, you could be providing strategy development support and helping businesses to deliver programs for growth and operational effectiveness.

Business Services  

As part of our Business Services team, you could be assisting with the strategic direction, implementation and ongoing management of Macquarie's workplaces; assisting with business resilience, or working with our sourcing and vendor management teams.

Human Resources  

 As part of our Human Resources team, you could assist with providing Macquarie’s human capital framework, policies, systems, subject matter expertise and thought leadership including recruitment, talent, learning and development, workplace health and safety, or reward.

Market Operations  

As part of our Market Operations team, you could be assisting with providing independent specialist trade validation, confirmation, settlement and reporting services for a variety of products and currencies for many of Macquarie’s businesses globally. You could also be assisting with independent middle and back-office transaction support to Macquarie's capital markets businesses and services across the Group.

Groups that Corporate Operations and Strategy Graduates will be placed into:

  • Corporate Operations Group
  • Financial Management Group
