Andrew Baker

I would definitely recommend the Vacationer program at EY (after all I did come back as a graduate). It was a great way to learn more about the organisation and also learn about myself and help identify what some of my areas of interest are.

Why did you apply to the Vacationer Program?

I applied to be a vacationer at the EY organisation as I wanted to be a part of a team that helps clients transform, and I really identified with EY team’s purpose of “building a better working world.” I wanted to work in a role where I could help drive long term improvements and change, having a positive impact on clients, and in many cases on the community more broadly.

What did you learn through the program?

I have learnt so many things at the EY organisation that it is impossible to capture in one sentence. Working with different clients and people helps you learn general to specific competency and sector skills. There is always the opportunity to learn at the EY organisation, and it is the perfect place for people who are lifelong learners.

The best thing about the program

The best thing about the Vacationer programs is being able to spend time with the EY teams and explore what a career at the EY organisation could hold for you. EY is a great place to work if you are unsure of what you want to do with your career as there are so many different things you can try.
