The Department has distinct levels, however it is also very easy to make a horizontal move for further career progression.

After graduating from the grad program, you need to be proactive and be the one to push for a promotion. Use the ILS standards to argue for why your skills are at a higher level. Try and find a supervisor who will support your growth and extending yourself if this is what you want. Also make sure not to miss the bulk APS 5 round at the end of the grad program.
