It wasn’t until I started working at Deloitte that I realised that there are so many career paths in accounting and that there are so many ways that you can combine your interests into the work you do on a daily basis.

From cyber security through to technology implementation, the wide range of work across multiple industries has provided me with a greater understanding of how to go about solving complex problems within different organisations, allowing me to enhance my skillset for the future.

My coach has been instrumental through my first year at Deloitte. They've helped guide my experience by ensuring that I am given the opportunity to work on projects that I have expressed interest in, that align with my skills and are consistent with my career goals.

Going to ‘Consulting bootcamp’ at the start of the program was a real highlight for me. As part of the bootcamp activity, we spent 3 days with grads from around Australia, engaging in consulting training and building connections along the way.

I work in Risk & Controls, and while it might not sound ‘sexy’, it’s actually really fascinating work.
