Career Prospects
I believe there are plenty of opportunities to progress, and there is a clear pathway set out to move between roles. There are also goal-setting tools to help review performance metrics for progression into another role.

Corporate Social Responsibility
I understand that Datacom regularly engages with schools and the community to promote roles in technology. They also engage with Women in tech initiatives. There was also considerable support provided to communities during Cyclone Gabrielle.

Culture

Culture
Our company promotes flexibility - people are free to work where they want, when they want. Collaboration between different teams mainly occurs amongst seniors/leads. We have morning teas most weeks on the designated day we come into the office, and every few weeks we will go out for dinner or have some sort of social event. Most of the people on my team are in a different city to me, so we work and collaborate remotely. Every 3 months everyone will fly in to work together for a couple of days and go out after dinner and have a good time.

It could be a bit more to support the increase in cost in my area, but I am satisfied if I work hard and be able to be rewarded for it.

I work on average 2-days per week from the office however, depending on project requirements I may be in the office full time. The company is flexible with respect to how many hours are worked and where they are worked from however, we have a reasonably firm start and finish times.
