If you join the ANZ Graduate Program, it will level up your career. When you accept our offer, you are pressing 'start' on a career that will challenge you and reward you. We help grow curious minds and develop careers for those motivated to make a positive difference for our customers and community.

We're on the hunt for dynamic graduates who love workshopping ideas, are keen to embrace and explore innovation, and have exceptional taste in music (the last bit is optional...) We want people who aren't afraid to speak up, share their opinions, develop relationships and influence outcomes. We're interested in people with diverse backgrounds, who are excited about joining a bank that's reinventing itself to address the complex challenges that society faces today, continuously raise standards in banking, and create opportunities for generations to come.

No matter where your career takes you, our graduate program will provide you with the foundation you need to grow, succeed and take your career to the next level.

Take a leap in the right direction

If you're ready to learn, we're ready to help you develop a successful career at ANZ. One of the best ways to learn is to throw you into new experiences. ANZ has been supporting the financial needs of regional and rural Australia for more than 150 years. This experience has led to an understanding of the challenges, rewards and opportunities our customers face when running their Agribusiness. We've built up a team of professionals who specialise in Agribusiness and are experts in a number of industries.

ANZ is committed to being the leading bank in regional and rural Australia by sustaining rural communities now and in the years ahead.

The Regional Agribusiness Banking Graduate Program at ANZ is all about developing a pipeline of talent to support our commercial and agribusiness customers across regional Australia. This program aims to give participants the opportunity to develop an understanding of banking needs within the regional communities they live and work and the industries in which they operate.

What's involved?

As an Agri Grad, you'll be rotating through three different regions within Agribusiness.  The first rotation is usually closer to home, then the following two will be in different states so you get to experience different customers and environments.  When you first start, you probably won't know much about banking …and that's ok.  You will buddy up with a Relationship Manager and Assistant Manager who will bring you up to speed, and you'll also have regular training with the other Agri grads – either in Melbourne, or a regional hub.

You'll be heading out to farms on a weekly basis, working to understand how you can help your clients grow and gain further value from their business.  This could include developing and offering working capital solutions for day to day farming operations, assisting clients make a farm purchase and expand, offering specialist interest rate risk management advice, and assisting purchasing equipment. The options are endless.

Here are some of the things you'll be doing:

Managing Clients

Getting out of the office, meeting our clients face to face.  You might be introducing yourself to a brand new client, or continuing the relationship with clients who have been with ANZ their whole life.  You will be working to understand their business and highlighting opportunities, whilst also analysing and mitigating key risks.

Connecting The Dots

Whilst you might be working remotely, you are constantly connected to our internal teams.  You will work together to ensure all questions are covered, details are checked, advice is correct, and make sure your customer is fully supported.

Analysing Client Positions

You will complete annual reviews for your customers, reporting on all things financial, production and industry for the past 12 months.  It's effectively a financial health check for your clients, ensuring everything is ticking along okay, and their banking needs are being met.

Enough about us. What about you?

Students who are studying towards commerce, business or agriculture related degrees may be well suited to a role in Agribusiness. We're looking for candidates from a diverse educational background though so even if you've studied science, engineering or law we are keen to hear from you! It is advantageous to have had experience working in the industry but what we're really looking for are individuals who have a passion for the industry and a desire to help our customers and communities thrive.

About ANZ

At ANZ, everything we do boils down to 'why' – our purpose – to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We're just as focused on seeing our people thrive as well as our customers. We'll give you every opportunity to develop your career.

We try to do things differently for our customers, community and people. It's not just a lick of paint we've applied, it's a shiny new strategy, with a simple ambition: to improve the financial wellbeing of our customers by doing the right things, right the first time with people who listen and learn, and the best tools and insights

A happy workplace is a thriving one. So in order to attract and keep the best talent, and say thanks for the hard work, we make sure all our employees are rewarded.

At ANZ we aim to create an inclusive environment where employee differences such as gender, age, culture, disability, sexual orientation, family and caring responsibilities and religion are valued. We work flexibly at ANZ. Talk to us and let us know how this role can be flexible for you.

Applications close: 13th March. Apply today.
