Very diverse.

We had a 24 hr pride celebration which was filled with LGBT community members answering all types of questions that were previously sent through and also generally educating the company on important issues. We also have a womens group and regular social club activities.
Graduate, Perth
Employees are well diversified. More women representation could be possible in the leadership position.

High priority for AECOM

They have a lot of initiatives and groups to help minority groups feel more supported.
Professional, Brisbane
They have a very good policy, frameworks and training to enable to make all spaces within the organisation inclusive and allow for diverse ideas and thinking.

It's good - particularly for an industry historically weighted towards the pale, stale and male. As always, practice doesn't always follow theory, but the foundation provided by the company values means employees are empowered to speak up if things do go awry.

There are a lot of women in my team including in managerial positions
Graduate, Sydney
Pretty good at lower levels, but I don't see much representation at senior levels. Hoping this increases in the future.
Graduate, Sydney
Very important to create what they believe is an inclusive culture. It's hard though since individuals still can have unconscious biases.

Diversity is great at AECOM. There is a group for everyone no matter their gender, sexuality or ethnicity
Early Professional, Brisbane
The business is big on diversity, but I'm not too fussed to be honest
Professional, Sydney
The company is extremely committed to diversity and inclusion

We have regular sessions to speak about the diversity in our company. Our company has an excellent balance in hiring, retaining, and promoting diverse people.
Graduate, Townsville
Very welcoming they hold events for it
Graduate, Sydney
Large commitment to diversity, would say that the company hires based on diversity rather than experience and skills.
Graduate, Sydney
We have got a team with a very multicultural background, an even distribution of female and male workers throughout the ranks.
Graduate, Brisbane
Overall there needs to be more diversity, particularly at higher levels. The proportion of women within the workforce is on the right track but it doesn't go up the levels. Very few indigenous employees for the size of the business. Some good LGBTIQA+ advocacy but could do more in the office.
Graduate, Melbourne
There seems to be action done towards increasing diversity within the firm.

The Graduate intake I was a part of in Perth employed a majority of young females. However, the entire intake for NWA seemed to be more male dominant particularly in engineering roles (which may still be more reflective of the industry). The company has a commitment to supporting their female workers, with organised social events by mCircles helping to build a supportive and trusting community for women in the workplace.
