Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
They conduct a grad experience portfolio consisting of the following: - Lunch and Learn sessions - Grad business Course diploma - Grad competency framework
Graduate, Perth
8 mandatory training modules and then opportunity to learn more
Graduate, Melbourne
No real formal training. I got given drawings to work off and then I had to ask many questions from the seniors for my own training. Received advice at times from my supervisor.
Graduate, Sydney
I think there are a lot of opportunities to upskill if you wish. Spanish classes are available, and they will pay for you to obtain relevant skills. I think the grad program could have been structured more effectively with clearer learning outcomes and objectives so that the information was easier to absorb, but there have been some interesting/informative classes there as well.
Graduate, Melbourne
There has been a great amount of opportunity to be upskilled and experience different trainings. This is not always helpful, however has been great exposure.
Graduate, Melbourne
I have not found the lectures and the modules which form part of the grad program to be really useful. I think it is more of a tick the box kind of exercise vs learning any new skills.
Graduate, Melbourne
No real training except inductions.
Graduate, Melbourne
I've had many Oppurtunites for both formal an informal training
Graduate, Other (Please specify) - Karara
The graduate program provides online project management training tailored to Acciona with experienced lecturers in Spain. There are also lunch-and-learn sessions to help graduates understand current projects and provide opportunities to talk to the key project personals.

Graduate bootcamp was very useful exposure to the practical side of construction. First aid training was given. Unfortunately, no excel training was available - maybe something that can be implemented in the future. I feel training isn't really highlighted or offered to Acciona employees. I perhaps could be wrong but not much information was given on where to apply to receive training.
Graduate, Sydney
Offers a wide range of training opportunities and programs at both formal and informal levels. Graduate program is still long and tedious, and at times detrimental, but is in the process of being reworked.
Graduate, Brisbane
Would like to complete more job related training's.
Graduate, Melbourne
There is a graduate program, however there is nothing tangible to work against. I feel like I will get promoted once my 12 month period is up, rather than working against some sort of assessment tool. I think having a mentor program will definitely improve this, as a newcomer to the indistry I think it's hard to formulate real goals
Graduate, Melbourne
The grad bootcamp was great and i learnt heaps, however I feel like this is mainly focused on engineers. I'm not sure if the other grads found it as helpful. Potentially having a large get together is great to connect but maybe also having field specific training as well. I definitely want to see more training aimed at engineers, training on quality, most used standards, planning. All these can be learned on the job, however having this formal training can be very useful in solidifying the understanding

There are pleanty of opportunities to learn new skills through the company. Spanish classes are even provided twice a week
Graduate, Sydney
Lots of training for everything
Graduate, Brisbane
The training we have been given at this company is very relevant to the skills that are required when working on site. It would be beneficial if there was more training provided for office based tasks, like contractual negotiations and client correspondence, however some lunch and learns are also provided that cover these sorts of skills. It would be helpful if it was provided in a more formal setup like a powerpoint that could be distributed so it can be read over and used if ever needed on the job.

The company has allowed me to experience great training and development opportunities such as the diploma certificate you partake in within the graduate program, internal innovation programs, language classes, role specific training such as white cards, working at heights, permit issuing. They also offer the ability to perform post graduate studies at universities and even other Tafe or certificate courses. For managers or those who want to become managers they also offer courses and development sessions in team and project management.
Graduate, Brisbane
Informal training of field work Formal drone pilot training, rail industry worker training
Graduate, Perth
I did not have formal training my team just taught me on the go which was good. But I would have liked more structure with training. My management changed a lot, and this was good as I got to experience different styles however, I would have liked to have more consistency especially when forming a beneficial working relationship flow. However my managers have ensured that I will be signed up to training that will actually help me with my role and the discipline of Communications and Stakeholder relations. This it really useful to my learning development as it gives me the right tools to utilise in my everyday work. I also think the grad program does not really help with understanding the stakeholder and communications space. We need more presence in the program as its very heavy on engineering, safety, enviro and technical areas. This does not set a good tone as we are a vital part of facilitating the right environment for works to be carried out.
