Maxim Chartered Accountants is looking to identify and grow undergraduate accountants into exceptional business and taxation advisors. Maxim believe in investing in our people to help them reach their full potential.
We are looking for outstanding final year accounting students to undertake a paid undergraduate program from July 2019.
Maxim is a dynamic business services firm delivering taxation and advisory services to established and growing businesses and individuals. Maxim's client portfolio includes some of Canberra and Sydney's most active and successful SMEs and private wealth clients.
Maxim believes in delivering innovative and effective commercial business solutions, and providing the highest standards of service to our clients through a team focused approach. By recognising that opportunities and challenges are unique to each client, Maxim provides tailored services to deliver effective strategic solutions.
Maxim will provide the undergraduates with the following opportunities:
- mentoring by experienced Chartered Accountants;
- supporting an enthusiastic, energetic and innovative business services team delivering taxation and business advisory services;
- exposure to large private wealth clients in Canberra and Sydney; and
- involvement in a structured training and development program.
The Maxim Undergraduate Program consists of paid work beginning in July 2019 until the end of the year. The exact timing will be structured around the successful undergraduate's university commitments however applicants must have a minimum availability of 3 days per week during this period.
Maxim will offer graduate positions to selected undergraduates at the conclusion of their degree.
Please note that there is a 3 week probationary period on commencement of this role.
The Maxim Undergraduate Program is open to final year Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or Business students undertaking an accounting major.
All undergraduates must have both the eligibility and desire to begin their Chartered Accounting qualification upon completion of their university degree.
The successful applicants will possess the following characteristics:
- a pro-active and self-motivated approach to work;
- the ability to work in teams;
- proficient organisational and project management skills; and
- strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
