Through our Co-op program, which combines classroom study with industry placements, you will improve your employment outcomes and expand your professional networks.

Our Bachelor of Professional Accounting with the degree of a Bachelor of Professional Practice offers you the opportunity to participate in Macquarie's Co-op Program and adds one year to the standard three-year degree.

In this highly competitive double degree you will alternate between classroom studies and workplace experience in the form of one three month placement and two six month placements. This will allow you to develop your professional skills, including communication, creativity, ethical practice and entrepreneurial expertise. You'll develop networks across a number of professional settings throughout your course, as well as utilise your practical experiences in the classroom to further enhance your studies.

This accounting degree will prepare you to practice as an accountant. You will learn the essential accounting knowledge and a range of business-related skills in information technology, statistics, economics, commercial law and financial management. The program is accredited with the key professional accounting bodies including CPA Australia, the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Institute of Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
