About the scholarship

The GenerationOne scholarship program aims to foster the next generation of Indigenous leaders through supporting Indigenous students, as they embark on tertiary study.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to help fund college accommodation costs and/or a stipend for expenses associated with studying and living away from home.

This financial support gives Indigenous students the opportunity to make full use of the personal and leadership development opportunities without the accompanying monetary pressures of living away from home.

How it works

Successful applicants can submit information for a college/accomodation option of their choice or choose to take up residence at one of our partner colleges: Trinity College in Melbourne, St Catherine’s College in Perth, Emmanuel College in Brisbane or St John’s College in Sydney. Non-partner colleges and other accommodation options will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A full scholarship normally covers college accommodation costs and/or a stipend to cover expenses associated with studying and living away from home. Payment of monies associated with the scholarship will be made in a manner determined by the Scholarship Committee, and reviewed on an annual basis.

The selection process

The scholarship is open to Australian citizens of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island descent who will be commencing or continuing tertiary studies during 2017.

Applicants pursuing tertiary studies across all disciplines will be considered. Scholarship selection is made based on the online application submitted via the link below, and interview/s with the Scholarship Committee.
